Why normal sizing fails

A masculine shirt sized to clear the chest or hips can add a boxy shoulder, a long sleeve and a hem that draws attention to the hips. A lower second button and a denser cloth can also matter when a binder is part of the outfit.
A feminine top may have the shoulder room you need in one size and the waist or hip shape you want in another, while its torso ends at the navel and its cuffs stop above the wrist.
Unisex usually changes the label on one standard block. It does not move the shoulder, change the chest-to-hip proportion, or put the rise and inseam on the same body.

How we get your fit

Tell us your measurements as you will wear the garment, including a binder or other underlayer if that is part of the fit. Shoulder, chest or bust, waist and hip are independent inputs; height, sleeve and inseam set length. You choose the garment and describe how you want it to sit.

Questions

Do I have to choose a men's or women's size?

No. Choose the garment shape you want and give us your measurements. The grade does not infer a body shape from your gender or from one size label.

What should I wear when I measure?

Wear the binder, bra or other underlayer you plan to wear with the garment, if any. Measure without pulling the tape tight and tell us how you want the finished piece to sit.

What if it does not fit?

A piece with a price lists what happens if it misses. For the others: if a delivered garment misses the promised fit, we remake it or refund you.

Can I change the design?

Yes. Customize opens the garment in our studio where you can change color, fabric, details and artwork. Your fit is kept separately, so design edits never undo it.
